Hello, So glad you stopped by for a visit! Who's cheating on who and why? Tough question I know but one that we are faced with sometimes. Especially if the question is about ourselves. If you have to face this issue in your own life that's difficult and becomes even harder if you have children in the mix. Remember children do not understand these issues so try your best to keep this information away from them. It will not help you to resolve your issue by involving your children.
Who's Cheating?
Lets get back to the question at hand who's cheating on who? Most of the time this question makes us think about ourselves unless we have seen or heard something about someone we know. For example maybe you have seen your best friends spouse in a vehicle with a person of the opposite sex and you think it looks suspicious. What do you do? Tell your friend that you saw this and you think that their spouse is cheating on them or keep your mouth shut and decide the best course of action is to take no action. Most of the time people choose to tell their friend and the reason why? I find the reason always seems to be a great genuine concern for their friend or family member. I can't tell you if its best for you to tell your friend or family member of your concerns I can only say you know the person and the relationship you have with them and you will have to decide the best course of action you will take. In my experience the person being cheated on has a difficult time when they think everyone knows but them, it makes them feel foolish. I will say that you look bad to your friend when they find out later that you knew and didn't tell them and believe me they will find out sooner or later. Either the spouse slips up and makes a mistake or someone else will tell them or their suspicions become so great that they decide to hire a private investigator to confirm their suspicions. I have been working domestic cases for 26 years mostly originating in Mooresville, Statesville, Salisbury and Hickory NC areas but no matter were my clients live their suspicions always sound so similar that if I closed my eyes they would all sound the same. I almost know whether my client is being cheated on just by listening to what they say about their spouses behavior. Most of my clients feel that they have been duped, tricked, betrayed, mistreated, used and abused. These are the descriptions I have heard used in the past, but the biggest issue I hear the most is No More Trust! These things I describe I hear from both male and female clients no matter whether it is a traditional relationship or same sex partners. Say your shocked? Don't be! No matter what your sexual preference is, it is still the same thing. Same sex partners do cheat on each other and exhibit the same behaviors when they are sneaking around cheating.
Why people cheat?
Well, I can't say for sure. I have posted a great video that was created by The Young Turks where a survey was conducted about why people cheat on each other. I do have opinions on this issue. I believe that people like to see if they can get away with it, sometimes people do it because they are angry with their spouse and sometimes they are sex addicts. But for me I believe a cheater is a selfish person and only thinks of what they want. Never giving one moments thought of their spouse or even the children that will be devastated by their actions. If you think about it, it really doesn't matter why people cheat the result is always the same loss of trust, broken families, divorce, child custody fights and sometimes the end results are violent and even deadly arguments.
