Most of the time people think they will just run a criminal record check on an Employee, Spouse, Neighbor or maybe your daughters boyfriends. Parents believe me I totally get it. The general thinking that people seem to have about this type of search is that they will look it up and they will then know beyond a shadow of a doubt what kind of a person they are dealing with RIGHT? WRONG! The National Criminal Records searches that people think will give them the answers they are looking for can be a very incomplete resource. It will probably give you some of the answers you seek but to get right down to the nitty gritty It will most likely not give you everything because there really is no such thing as a true National Criminal Search Site. You know that one data base site on the internet that every County Court House in America feeds its criminal records into. Yeah that's the one. It doesn't exist. Now the best possible resource I can think of that would have the most data compiled of this type in one location probably the FBI. Records are kept county by county. For example If the crime is committed in Statesville or Troutman NC then the Iredell County CourtHouse would be the location of such records. On the other hand if the crime is committed in Salisbury or China Grove NC then the Rowan County CourtHouse would the best place to search for the records of interest.
